About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC
MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of Battery System Assembly (BSA) and Power Electronics (PE) systems-critical components for electric vehicle production-utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing technology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(To perform this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Perform PPE analysis, make recommendations, and order PPE and safety supplies.
- Track injuries, review incidents, and recommend safety improvements.
- Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, and company EHS regulations and policies.
- Conduct job hazard analysis, system audits, and ergonomic task assessments.
- Assist in implementing injury reduction initiatives.
- Track and report operational safety and environmental performance metrics.
- Conduct safety training programs for all levels of operations, including initial safety orientations.
- Participate in special task force assignments and projects as needed.
- Recommend improvements to EHS policies and programs.
- Systematically track safety items (PPE inventory, injuries, first aid cases, inspections, etc.) for trend analysis and improvement opportunities.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly audits and inspections; submit documentation promptly to management.
- Maintain paper and digital records of inspections, audits, accidents, near-misses, incidents, and illness reports per EHS procedures.
- Lead and train new Safety Committee members; address committee concerns and findings.
- Lead site-level Safety Team and Waste Minimization Team programs to improve HSE performance.
- Prepare, submit, and document all EPA and OSHA requirements, including but not limited to: OSHA 300 log, CAA, CWA, RCRA, stormwater/wastewater, Title V, PSM/RMP, SARA 311/312/313, Form R, hazardous waste manifests, and air emissions inventory reports.
- Develop and implement site-level training for all personnel to ensure compliance with HSE/EHS programs and environmental permit conditions.
- Manage SDS data.
- Recommend and implement sustainability processes in collaboration with regulatory and corporate compliance teams.
- Ensure proper identification, handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of plant chemicals and hazardous waste.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lead personnel of varying backgrounds and skillsets; maintain professionalism under pressure
- CPR and First Aid instructor certification with advanced trauma training
- Knowledge of workers' compensation processes
- Ability to motivate employees, build relationships, and drive initiatives across the facility
- Strong communication skills (written, oral, listening, and presentation) for small and large groups
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety or related field preferred
- 1–5 years of EHS or related experience in manufacturing/automotive industry
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Knowledge of ISO certifications
- OSHA Certification, CSP, ASP, GSP preferred but not required
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
Working Conditions:
Office setting with repetitive standing and walking between buildings; occasional travel for off-site meetings
